CANTON - The funeral for Mrs. Pearl G. Williams Guyett, 79, of 114 Miner St., this village, widow of Ernest H. Guyett, will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the O'Leary Funeral Home, with the Rev. William Hart, pastor of the First United Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery.

Calling hours at the funeral home are today at 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p,m. Mrs. Guyett died at 10:30 p.m. Friday (May 12, 1972) at Hepburn Hospital, Ogdensburg. She had been hospitalized for the past three weeks.

Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Allen M. (Mildred) Todd of Canton; one son, Harold E. of Hinesville, Ga.; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Guyett was born at Black River, N.Y., April 2, 1893, daughter of Peter and Addie Lawton Williams. She came here with her parents when she was a young girl, and attended schools here.

She was married to Ernest H. Guyett at DeKalb Junction, April 3, 1911, the ceremony being performed by the late Rev. C.J. Walker of the Methodist Church. The couple lived here all of their married life. Mr. Guyett died in 1966.

For a number of years, Mrs. Guyett was employed at the New York Telephone Company here, and then for several years at the Canton Savings and Loan.
