The funeral for Mrs. Emma May Goodenough Cummings Creighton, 83, widow of Fred Creighton, who died Wednesday night at the Cedars Nursing Home, Riverside Drive, Ogdensburg will be at 11am Saturday at the First Presbyterian Church, Rev. Thomas T. Patterson, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Ogdensburg cemetery.

Mrs. Creighton, who formerly lived at 718 Pickering st had been a patient at the nursing home since June 1969.

Surviving are four sons, Kenneth Cummings, Mattydale; George Cummings, Syracuse; Cecil Cummings, address unknown, and Truman Oliver Creighton, Ogdensburg; a daughter Miss Leila Cummings, Ogdensburg; a sister, Mrs. Charlotte Ryan, Watertown, 10 grandchildren, great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

Born April 5, 1887 in Watertown, a daughter of David and Julia Goodenough, she was married to Marshall Cummings in 1900. He died in 1918. (*incorrect he is in 1920 census with wife and 5 children). Later she was married to Fred Creighton. He was killed in 1928 when a team he was driving, hitched to a wagon, ran away. He was an employee of McConville, Inc when the accident occurred.
